Native Houstonian Diane Kingshill grew up just south of the metropolitan area in Friendswood, Texas. Prior to her career in residential real estate, Diane was an elementary school teacher and then entered pharmaceutical sales. Over a period of 18 years, her positions with a national biotech firm included sales, management and ultimately liaison for the company’s home office in San Francisco between the M. D. Anderson and Vanderbilt University cancer centers. Houses have always been magnets for Diane. As she was building her sales career, she was also buying, remodeling and selling homes and condos. She and a partner formed an interior design firm and not only remodeled homes but designed the interiors and furnishings as well. Perhaps unconsciously, Diane built an excellent foundation for real estate success: a proven background in sales, first-hand knowledge of what makes houses “work,” and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. When she made the decision to become a Realtor, it was an obvious step in the right direction – and Diane has never looked back. All true professionals know their strengths, and Diane is no exception. An in-depth Stanford University interview verified what she already knew: Diane is a “big-picture” thinker who plays out alternative scenarios; she strives for excellence in all that she does and will excel at any given task; she is enthusiastic, optimistic, and an accomplished communicator. Diane is included consistently among Houston Business Journal’s quarterly list of the top 20 most expensive homes listed or sold in Houston. When not working, Diane is active in a number of philanthropic organizations in Houston and elsewhere. She supports the Shane Battier Take Charge Foundation and serves on the executive board of the Carole and Ronald Krist Samaritan Center. Diane is a past supporter of the Minnie Pearl Foundation in Nashville, American Diabetes Association, CanCare, and M. D. Anderson. Diane and her husband co-chaired the 2010 fund-raising gala for Krist Samaritan Center. Diane and her husband, a wealth manager, reside inside Loop 610 and are passionate supporters of the Rockets and Texans. They enjoy spending free time with family and friends at Houston Oaks Country Club and at their second home in Colorado. Their daughter, a University of Texas graduate, was recently married and resides in Houston. Diane and her family are members of St. Luke’s Methodist Church where her grandparents were founding members.
